Need this as a back up as the Mrs is going electric and in case she forgets to plug it in she needs a back up petrol car that I thought could be a convertible for some summer fun - this one looks nice so anything I should know ?

Seems quite punchy in terms of price for what you are getting. That is the tail end of the old gen 93 which was a bit soft out of the factory, especially in rag top version.
To put it into context (and admittedly mine is a hard top), but I got a 53 plate 93ss (sports saloon - this is the latest gen) aero for £750. High miles but it is a bullet proof engine and everything works as it should.
In my opinion, I would look at what you can get for the same money but from 2003 onwards so you can get a new gen version.
