Hi all

Hi all, love this forum and so glad to have found it!

Anyway, I have just agreed to buy a 2000/w Saab 9-5 aero hot auto estate for £950 which I thought was decent. 10 months MOT, full service history until April 2013 and one just over 105k. Few advisories on last MOT but nothing major, gonna get plugs changed, oil filter and oil changed, new air filter and new rear pads and discs as need doing.

What do people think?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151306788522?_trksid=p20...

Here's the advisories:-

The vehicle has one fully functioning key and I have replaced the rear shocks, which I forgot to mention in the listing. The advisories are
1, nearside rear trailing arm has slight play in a pin/bush
2, rear brake pad(s) wearing thin
3, parking brake lever has little reserve travel
4, offside front suspension arm ball joint dust cover deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt.
5, both rear brake discs slightly corroded
6, oil leak - but can't see one

Looks nice. Factor in a sump drop & strainer clean for piece of mind. Can be done yourself if you are handy with spanners.

Thanks mate, I will investigate that as a few people have said the same. Decent price?

Last year I got it done with oil, filters, plugs and a couple of PVC hoses for around £250. Think its 2.5 hours labour for the sump drop.

Just bought the sump drop service kit from neo brothers & will see how it goes. Time wise I have seen quoted between 3 & 8 hours.
