Just checking - where are people getting their cars serviced and does it cause any issues?
We had a main dealer fairly close by so I'm assuming they could manage just fine. Nothing daft happened like workshop tools being removed by the receivers?

absolutely no problems with servicing and Saab parts was a completely seperate company to "Saab" so no issues there either

Hello it didn't know you had a Saab! There's a Saab specialist behind BMW that I've been using the last 2.5 years who's very good and never has problems with spares etc.

Hi,no saab here it turns out. Went to see a 09 hirsch 2.8 xwd estate in Oxford yesterday but it didn't really float our boat. A lot of car for 10k with only 29k on the clock. Keep coming back to a gb270 wagon but that will cost us 6k plus ours for a car barely a year newer. Hardly worth it but I would like one.

Just picked ours up from its MOT and quick squeal investigation, we're still ruminating on what to replace her with that's as nice to drive, reliable and a bit quirky!

When we bought ours, we gave it a service and a sump drop at the main dealer, but it's not been back since.

This is it Sarah. Nothing wrong with it but it needed a really good clean and anew rear parcel shelf as the dog had destroyed it. Discs had lips on but the pads seemed ok.

DCA in Upper Basildon looked after my 9000 then 9-5 for years.
Both Alan and his son are ex-SAAB main dealer so know their onions.
Sensible service and repair costs plus second-hand parts if required.
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe.

Tog, vv yes thanks can only claim brain fade as an excuse.

Upper Bucklebury, not Basildon. Or at least it was when I dropped my 9000 there yesterday. I haven't picked it up yet so hope they haven't moved to Essex overnight smile
