Hi all,

Have found a 1986 Saab 900 non turbo for sale just down the road from me, its only on 60k and has apparently had 1 owner, but its only £495?!

I know absolutely zero knowledge of these cars, but I love the look of it and miss running an older car. I'm just unsure if it would be sensible as this car would be my daily drive - although I don't do many miles at all.

Is this a case of a retro/classic that would benefit from being used throughout winter or do they now need a nice warm garage and a blanket?

I've had a look through the buyers guides but any tips greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hey

At that price it could be a bit rough or the owner doesnt know what they've got. I found the non turbo's pretty tedious to drive as they are lacking in power. Approx 110 bhp in a big car. A reasonably well looked after one will not need to be fussed over at all. Same with any car, make sure you start it from cold and see how it goes. And check the heater! smile

Thanks for the replies, I rang about the car to see it on Friday but it had unfortunately sold, it has however opened my eyes about the 900 turbos as another possible future car though!
