Can anyone help with this problem please ?

2002 9-5 Aero and both keys have stopped working.

New batteries are in and I have checked boot button when keys in ignition which states '2 keys 2 transponders' and have tried the quick pressing of buttons when in ignition but to no avail.

Is there any other way to get the car to recognise the keys ?

Manual central locking button works next to gearbox and I have also diconnected the battery which did solve the problem but for only 10 minutes.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Sorry, can't help... but I have exactly the same problem - so will watch this with interest.

One thing that was suggested to me, is there is apparently an aerial / receiver for the keys situated under the centre armrest. This could have become disconnected banghead

I'm going to check mine tomorrow..

Hi Johnte

I read that if you turn your key to on and press the unlock button five times it resets the connection.

I've tried this and it works but I have to follow this process many times as the initial problem keeps happening.

Hope this helps .

^^ this works! Also it's worth checking the contacts within the key for the battery - they can lose springiness over time, so clean them up with a little emery paper, bend them forward a little, try the above process, and you should have working keys.
