Just had my 95 aero fettled by Karl @

http://www.noobtune.co.uk/

Night and day difference, for less than the price of a tank of fuel. 2nd gear is as relentless as gravity, and the middle of third is like the hyperdrive on the millennium falcon!

The cars just averaged more mpg on the way back than its ever done before!

GET YOUR'S DONE!!!!!!!!

...near Nottingham

I have to agree with the OP yes

I havent had occasion to give her a real workout but driving her to the MOT today to a garage out in the sticks, was fun. The power (and noise) is v noticeable. Mine is an auto so holds the gear longer than I probably would in a manual so it sounds like a banshee sometimes biggrin

He's great. Karl did my 9-5 2.0t last year. It's the 150hp version but now has north of 200, as well as a decent increase in torque. Transformed the car for the better.

Another vote for Karl here. For less than half the price of one 'pro' remap, I've had two done, the first one a stage 1, then the second a stage 3 once I'd got the bigger exhaust and fuel pressure regulator. Car is transformed - ~290bhp and @325lb/ft from cars that you can pick up for shed money. Marvellous.

You guys that are getting the big gains seem to be starting with the slower models, is there much of a difference on the already 250bhp 2.3 HOT? Especially without any additional hardware?

"is there much of a difference on the already 250bhp 2.3 HOT?"

YES! mines a different car!

Karls a top bloke, genius, and a nice bloke with it, best 80 quid you'll ever spend on your car

I had my old NG900 done at abbotts and raised it from 185 hp to 220 hp, which was a big difference. My current 95 aero has gone from 250 to 275 , which is 10 less gained but still significant, response in 5th on a motorway is much sharper, no need to drop into 4th when passing on an A road

i also have a 2002 95 aero, saw karl about 2 months ago
the open sid where you can see all the functions is great. he also showed me how to reset the ecu.
my car had isses with mis firing after the map, Karl was very helpful advising what was causing the misfire. after new spark plugs, and catalytic cleaner, combined with only using shell v power the car goes like a rocket,
whats impressive is that at 4th gear at 100mph the car still pulls strongly so i've heard

Had my 2006 95 Aero done today with Stage 1. Worth every penny, has to be the performance bargain of the year.
Mid-range much punchier and top gear response way better. The 200 mile drive home (the long way) was great fun.
Karl is a top bloke.

I had mine done over a year ago now by Karl, mine was a standard manual 2004 9-5 Aero. It still makes me smile!
