93 - 05 Aero - 'Right Brake Lamp Failure'
Discussion
Hi
Bit of a strange on.
The SID is displaying 'Right Brake Lamp Failure' every time the car starts, yet all, including the rear right brake lamps are working.
Any idea's as to the potential cause of this?
I have considered changing the lamp to see if the alarm goes away, but on the basis that the lamp is working how could that cause the problem?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
John

Have you actually checked to see if the bulb has blown, the saab system compensates for a brake light failure by illuminating the tail light so it would look like the bulb is still working but it will be tail light coming on, works vice versa, if a tail lamp blows it will dimly light the brake light
