I've just had a 50000 mile service on my 2008 Saab Aero 2.0T convertible.

I fell off my chair when I got the bill at £630.

Admittedly as well as the service the front disks and pads have been replaced and filters, sparks changed and 2 wheels aligned.

Nonetheless this seems very expensive. Is £630 reasonable or am I being ripped off?

Not to mention that there were an additional 13 miles on the odometer after I dropped the car off from the service stamp. Granted any work needs a test drive but 13 miles is taking the piss isn't it?

Oil & filter change. £50?
Air filter. £10?
Wiper blades. £15?
Top up coolant & screenwash. £10?
Spark plugs. £25?
Disks & pads £150? Add £30 if they changed the brake fluid.
3 hours labour @ £100/hr (although it wouldn't really take that long for all this)

Total would be £590 guesstimate if you were using a pricey main dealer. Add a bit for wash & valet whilst you're there.

At an independent I'd expect to see a little over half that.
