Cruise control issue
Discussion
Hi,
I have a MY2000 9-3 convertible. I love my car very much and would love for all the electrical stuff to work. I have an issue with the cruise control. The light comes on to tell me the system is active, however it doesnt actually engage when I press the button on the side of the stalk. Please, does anyone have any insight. Cheers

Worth checking down near the clutch pedal. There is a plunger switch which gets activated when the clutch is depressed which disables the cruise. When I put a new master cylinder in, I needed to bend the little metal mount that the plunger sits on to move it away so it wasn't always depressed.

That is excellent advice Wing Commander! Mecliveharris - also worth checking the brake switch for the same thing. I am not sure if there is a separate switch on there besides the brake light switch.HTH
