Saab 9000 clutch issue
Discussion
Hi folks, it's a 92 K reg Saab 9000, the problem is when starting the car for the first time of the day the clutch is nearly not there but after 3 or 4 miles it seems to sort itself out. The fluid is still sitting at the max level. Any ideas what the problem could be or how big a job it is?? Thanks guys.
Been a while since I had my 9000 on the road, but I assume you know that it is a hydraulic clutch set up. I had various issues with mine but it may well be that you have "dirty" fluid, that is to say that it has a high water content.
When did you last do a complete brake/clutch fluid flush?
Also, the line that runs from the master to the slave can get weak and bulge. Worth checking when you have someone depress the clutch pedal.
I'll keep thinking!
