95 Aero Airbag warning light

Hi all, my 02 95 aero has developed an annoying fault. The airbag light keeps coming on, and then going out 10 seconds later (along with the associated bonging!), comes on regardless of wheel position,turning etc etc.

Just come on and gone off about 10 times in a 10 min drive. Any ideas? Common fault? Chaffed wiring?

Have a look under the front seats and make sure the connectors are all secure(might be 2 if you have heated seats).

Thanks Tony, wiggled everything and seems to be OK now. My cars hasn't got heated or Power seats, so I can only assume that it was the seat pressure pad/seat belt wiring confusing it. I did hoover it out the other day, so probably self inflicted!

Figured out what's causing the airbag light to come on. Its the drivers seat belt bucket, which when it moves/bends, causes the light to come on. When I disconnect it, the light comes on and stays on, tried tricking the car by shorting the connector, and it does the same thing. Time to give Neo Brothers a call me thinks, unless someone on here has a working spare?

Exactly the same problem here ! Hoovered car and now airbag light comes on then off ! Beeping sound is bloody annoying !

Just found mine is linked directly to the aircon !

When the aircon is turned on the airbag light appears with the beeping and when aircon is turned off the airbag light turns off.

Would anyone know why this is ?

Just fixed mine, it was the seat belt buckle, fitted an new one from Neo Bros and problem solved
