Hi all!

Could any aero owners please be so kind to let me know what mpg to expect from this model? Been looking into a replacement for our decrepit rover and the 9-3 appeals!...especially the aero!!

Thanks in advance

I have just bought an Aero convertible and am getting around 31 taking it reasonably easy rising to 32.5 on a motorway run if I keep it to about 75. Don't know if the hardtop is much different.

according to the SID mine is on 35mpg at the moment. Mainly A roads to work with some town stuff at the weekends and topped up with the odd long trip on motorways.

Cut out the recent motorway stuff and I was on 29-30 mpg

I'm getting about 30mpg average at the mo - about 80% town driving. On a good run it will do high 30's, but to get much more you really do have to dawdle like a pensioner!

Not too shabby, well i don't think it is anyway! smile

When i picked mine up about a month ago the return trip was showing a whopping 45mpg (on the SID).

It only used 1/4 tank to get home so i couldn't confirm or disproof this. However once using it daily the SID dropped to average of 35mpg.

At the point of it having used a full tank i can confirm that i have hit an average of 36.1 mpg.

Thats a mixture of Dual carriageways, A & B roads. Its the daily drive to work which means i am not exactly in a panic but speeds between 50 and....well it has an 8 in it. are the norm.

And its a 5 speed 210bhp version.

I have just done 300 miles up through Wales (Monmouth - Abergavenny - Brecon - Builth Wells - Llandrindod Wells - Newtown) and back looking at houses - so quite a few detours as well as some great driving roads - and averaged 27.1mph for the trip.
