Hi everyone.... I am new to the this forum. i am looking for some advice re my saab 9-5 aero, i have recently replaced my clutch kit and soon after (2 months aprox) 5th gear slips out occasionaly..I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to why this is happening and whether its time to replace the gearbox

May be worth a gear linkage alignment check - remove the leather gear lever gaiter to reveal a 4mm hole; put the car into 4th gear, and insert a suitably sized screwdriver to lock it; then do the same at the gearbox (from memory there's a rubber bung to remove, then insert a 4mm screwdriver/allen key); both should fit easily; if they don't, release the gear linkage adjustment nuts to a point where you can insert the lock keys, and then re-tighten the linkages. Lots of guides online that will explain it better than I.
