Had my renewal the other day, got a cheaper quote elsewhere and now they've lowered my premium to £550. I'm 34 with 15 years protected no claims, although they only go up to 10, oh and that's on a 54 plate 9-3 Aero. So what does everyone else pay?

About 400 of your pounds for a 2004 9-3 Arc 2.0t. My last claim was about 10yrs ago for a "damaged whilst parked". The car is used everyday and I am 67 and my wife is 64. We live in the metropolitan area and the car is parked overnight in our driveway. We haven't lost any points on our licences. I rang my current insurer and got told they would only quote the extra premium to the next due date but on those numbers they agreed an annual figure would be around 725GBP which I thought high and got a couple of better quotes but I then rang my current insurer as a new customer and got the above quote which I accepted and they couldn't explain the previous quote, or find a record of it. I am retired but worked in motor insurance most of my working life which can be an advantage at times like this.

Mine's about £370 for a 2001 2.0T with a modified ECU - 40something with no points and full no claims(that's blown it!!) but it's my 20k pa that hurts it.

Mines £302 with Axa on a 2004 9-5 Aero. I'm 32, no points, 12 years ncb and a BD postcode (though it is just in North Yorkshire)

I should have just bought an Aero rather than fitting a SAAB approved tuning kit to my 2.0t!!!

Been quoted £1,400 for a 2005 9-3 aero I'm looking to buy in a couple of months.

23, potentially 0 ncb and a pretty shocking postcode…. I weighed it up and would rather pay £1,400 on the Saab than £1.100 on a 1.6 fiesta!

I need to ring elephant but does anyone know if they take ncb earned as a named driver into account? I have 5 years ncb as a named driver.

40+ male with wife as named driver; garaged; full NCB (10 years is the max they take I think); 3 old points from nearly 5 years ago - SP30; 57 plate 9-3 Aero convertible; 5k miles = £280-ish from memory

With a policy I am reasonably happy with, though found a clause regarding second hand parts on an accident repair, £270 odd. 2.3t 9-5 Arc, bog standard. At fault claim on another car in 2007 (I think), should be coming off the requirement to declare about now. Two of us on the policy. Be shopping around this year again.
