9-5 Estate rear wiper motor
Discussion
Anyone replaced one of these or have any tips on getting the tailgate trim off in one piece and if there are any dodgy moments getting the motor off?
I've checked the fuse and the relay appears to be switching; pulling open the trim on the tailgate I can get the connector off and there are 3 wires. With the switch in the 'on' position, which is intermittent wipe, I see ground on one wire, 14V on another, then a 14V trigger on the other wire... no point in attempting wire colours as I'm colourblind(!).... This seems right to me, so my best guess is a duff motor, probably ceased up with a bit of water/salt ingress over the years.
If it's just ceased up I'll have a go at freeing it up (we're talking WD40 and mole grips level of delicacy) or just grab another off eBay, most appear to be under £30, which seems reasonable for it to arrive in my porch ready to fit
