Considering circa 1999 9-3 Covertible: Am I mad?

As the title says, I'm in need of a car for 3-4 months while my company cars get delivered. I've always loved this shape of Saab and why not get one to tie me over and possibly keep it and do a little restro on it and keep it as a summer soft top.
I only have a small budget of £1100, am I mad to opt for one???
