I am sorry if this has been covered before but the search facility is down at the moment. My current car is becoming uneconomical to repair and to keep on the road so I am looking for a replacement.

I am thinking about getting a 93 estate and I have seen a 1.9 TID Vector Sport for sale, which I like the look of see link below.

As I am totally new to Saabs I am wondering if anyone can direct me to a buyers guide or offer any advice on what to look for when looking at one.
Also are there any common problems that I should be aware of and lastly what are servicing costs could be expected and how is the supply of spare parts likely to be like over the next few years.

If you don't get any help here then look at the several on line clubs that are around to see if they can help. I am a member of UKSaabs for example and they seem a friendly enough bunch.

Good luck smile

Dual mass flywheels seem to be a common problem. Spare parts don't seem to bad at the moment and with Saab being brought should improve.

As for Newmarket motor company, if you are interested in the car ring them as they have a habit of leaving cars on their web site long after they are sold!

I have just upgraded from a 9-3 TID, I was really pleased with mine.

I put 16k on it in 6months with the only problem been the alternator which do fail at around 60k.

Changed it for a 9-5 Aero now and its awesome.

They are good cars.
