Hi

I have a 2006 Vector convertable diesel which was tuned up to 175bhp when I bought it by Saab themselves (Hirsch Engineering I think it says?).

Is this as far as we can go with the engine sensibly or is there more to play with?

I love the car and have decided to keep her for a few years yet so will be spending a few quid on her (cleaning up the hood, wheel refurbs etc) but was wondering if there were any other possibilities (and potential downsides).

Cheers

WHy don't you contact a known Saab tuner like SaabTech??

I think the limitation of that engine will be the gearbox and how much torque you can put through it.

If you are also determined to add more power, I also recommend you go for the 310mm Aero/Vectra GSI brake upgrade. Much more power and feel than the standard set up.

Hirsch is the factory approved tuner. As they keep the warranty there's room to play with...

But, iirc Hirsch lock the ecu after mapping. So they won't take another map.

Cheers for that.

I could do with a slightly faster pick up from stationary as a minimum.
