Well I've had my Aero for 6 weeks now, it's been a very good 6 weeks!

Big step up from the 1.2 corsa D, got it from my old man, 42k milles and absolutely immaculate, does't look 7 years old.

My only niggle with the car is the dipped beams. They're terrible, not very bright and not very long reach, I feel blind a lot at night when I can't use main beam, the corsas lights were better I think!

Anyone else had the same thoughts and got any ideas on solutions?

much appreciated chaps

Hi

I have 2 AERO's, an 05 2.0T Rag top, and an 09 TTid, have no trouble with either.

Could possibly just need adjusting?

Strange one.. Sure even the 2.0T Aeros come with xenons. They should be pretty good. Mine are.

The early 93 didn't come with xenon headlights, although they might have been an option. Our 03 model doesn't have them but our 07 does.

Anyway I find the lights on the 03 are ok, the need to be set to position 0 otherwise the reach is very poor. You should get the adjustment checked and think about using replacement xenon bulbs (Philips)...

Thanks guys, readjust and new bulbs it is then, I was shocked how bad they seemed because it's got xenons.

Ordering some other bulbs this weekend anyway, might aswell do the headlights while i'm in there, are the bulbs a nightmare to change? You had to be a contortionist and remove all the air filter, the piping and fuse box cover just to struggle for 20 minutes to change them haha.

Hi, yes my 05 rag top and 09 TTid both have Xeons

If yours has Xeons, they are self adjusting, as long as nothing has gone wrong with the sensors / settings.

If yours has Xeons, you won't want to change the lamps unless you have really deep pockets!

on my 05, the sensor once became loose which meant that the lights just pointed to the floor, and from memory I got a warning on the display.
