As i like most men don't have the hands to do this job are there any other easier ways to get the bulb out to change?

If not, is the removal of the headlight easy?

Just stick at it.! I gave up first time but when I went back to it with a bit of persistence I managed. Small long nose pliers help greatly.

They don't need turning either way, they're just pushed in which makes it easier.

Try get hold of the plastic with some pliers or get hold of the wires and pull (gently) and wiggle it at the same time.

Sorted.

I agree with Phil, pull firmly on the wires to remove the fitting.

From memory, it took me 3 times longer to drive to the garage to buy a lamp (less than a £), than it did to fit it.

The hands of a 3 year old would be a big advantage!

AFAIK, the wiring is strong enough for one to tease the bulb holder out using pong-nosed liars by tugging the wiring. I am at work just now, but I am sure mention is made of this in the Haynes bible. A bit tricky to refit but dexterity will eventually win.

The wire is strengthened specifically for you to pull on it - However, some have been known to strip the wires! The headlights are REALLY easy to get out - Pop the two smaller vents on the grille, there are two torx behind there, then remove the indicator to access the other torx and one on top of the light - I am doing my sidelights Saturday (Super White LED to match the Xenons) and I will be taking the light units out - it is literally 5 minutes a side....

Update: Ended up removing the whole front bumper and both headlights!

But it was only a 5min job and allowed me to fix a crack in the front splitter, the sidelights however appeared to be bodged in by a previous owner hence my difficulty hehe
