Keep the 9000 or get a 9-5??
Discussion
Oh what a dillema! I have a wonderful old '95 9000 Aero, 170k on the clock, engine is as sweet as a jar of honey, front wings are a bit tatty but the rest of the car is entirely rust free and as solid as a WWII concrete bunker.
It has Bilsteins, strut Bar, Maptune Stage 1 300hp, JT Exhaust - i love the car it handles wonderfully, goes like $hit of a shovel, do I keep it or grow up and 'upgrade' to a 9-5 Aero estate.
Yes I know, no can answer the question apart from me....But I but I need inspiration

Well I`ve just done the same move - from a `97 Griffin which I loved but had too many problems to make repair economical - last one I saw sold looked at least as good as mine & made £430.....
So have jumped to a 2005 9-5 Aero. I`ve always preferred the older cars all my driving time (from `67) & it is still not something I`m completely used to, but it has an overall familiarity of quality & solidity which is there as a SAAB trademark. I did find the kickdown & acceleration with the Griffin a great overtaking boon - with this 9-5 manual in third, it came as something of a shock to me, and even more so to the tw@t in a Seat who was right up my .....
Handling on the twisty bits is much improved, but I`m not really a storming driver. Over 500 miles I`m showing 37.8 mpg which is probably an expression of my trundling style for most of the time.
I think that if you have a good test drive in one you`ll be sold. I was lucky to get a very nice example which is new enough not to have as dire a health warning over sludge as an older version, but I expect you know about that.
Best wishes & have a drive - Julian
