Hi all, as some of you may know I have spent a while tuning and generally loving my 9-3 convertible.
Due to a change in personal circumstances I am in the position that I will no longer be able to keep 2 cars and as the Saab has always been my second car, she is the first to go. frown

Where would be a good place to advertise her? I am going to put her on here (when it starts getting a bit sunnier) but I don't think places like Autotrader will be a good place to put her.

censored

I also have to let go of my other pride and joy my Kawasaki ZX-9R. As I have tuned her as well and convereted to single seat how can I go about test rides on that? I am not well versed in selling.

TIA guys.

Olly

Can you not SORN it? Don't know the age, but with Saab values in freefall is it even worth it? Maybe trade in the bike for something smaller that will get decent MPG and keep the car for filthy weather and needing more seats? My brother ran an old GPZ500S as his shed bike and had a blast! Cheap to run too!

I second that last year I payed hardly anything for a 2001 saab 9-3 convertible that needed 2 front tyres and a ball joint/control arm so I would say keep it. Sorn it bring it out in the summer again. As your never get what it should be worth.

At the moment she is in the garage. I am going to put her on a few sites at a proper figure to show the folks and Mrs that I am 'selling' her honestly. Then when I get nowhere fast I'll just have to cave in and keep her.

I've Bought a Kia Venga as a 'sensible' car. So I will keep hold of this. I have just completed the paper excercise of putting my number on retention just to show more willing. But no, Me and my Saab shall not be parted.

In fact project 500 is back on the cards and I am planning an all singing remap from JRZ to show live data and put me at around 330bhp with the hardward I have at the moment.

The bike will be going though, so if any one is interested in a lovely Ninja drop me a line.

Ha, my first 'sports bike' was a GPZ 500s, I bought that to save using my VN800 in the crappy weather (as I was an all weather rider at the time) and found myself taking the GPZ out on the sunny days instead of the VN. So then trader the VN against a CBR 600. This started the tuning bug and here we are today.

I would toy with a shed bike again. But I need to downsize and instead I keep getting toys lol.
