MPG question 9-3 Vector 150bhp auto convertible

I wonder if anybody in the PH massive has any experience with the real world MPG of the following -

2006 Saab 9-3 Vector 150bhp Convertible Auto 1.8t

The car is local and has been up for sale repeatedly over the last few months without success and although I was looking for an economical car I quite fancy it as it is in A1 condition and a lovely looking car.

My 2.0t aero cabrio has just gone back to the lease company.

When SWMBO had it for running around locally it would show 19mpg. If I had it on a run I could get it over 30mpg. Not sure how much better the 1.8 is, but I did feel like I was putting loads of petrol in it!

Thanks for the reply. I ended up with a BMW 118D - as much as I love the Saab, it would just be too much to run :-(
