Airflow was a model aimed at the Reps it was kinda based on a Linear-sport spec.

Is this Saab trying to use it's aerospace heritage on it's cars? A marketing ploy no doubt.

Airflow was a few dealer fitted bits of bodykit on the 98 onwards 9-3s
It pretty much became standard

There are two different versions of the 'Airflow' of recent years.

05 plate cars, or those around that were upgraded spec to offer customers as there was a shortage of deisel particulate filters which meant higher emmissions. I ran a 9-3 Vector Sport 1.9TDi 150 which had added 13spr stereo system, rear Aero boot spoiler & Luxury pack FOC. There were versions for each trim spec, but deisel on ly.

07 plate cars on were lower spec Linears 7 Linear s[ports with bigger wheels etc to make them look like higher spec cars. These were only available to registered fleet users when new and not offered on general sale. Also the list price was artificially lowered (by slashing dealer margin) to offer a better income tax deal.

I've got a 9-5 Airflow SE.

It's basically an Aero look-alike with Aero sports suspension, wheels, body kit, not Aero big brakes and only the baby engine!
