I'm getting similar info which I hope is not true because many of the UK attendees have booked ferry tickets that are not refundable.

Plus some people can't change their holiday at this short notice.

Bad (web) translation:

"Communication concerning the Continental meeting 2007

Unexpectedly, a large problem has arisen. To now proves to be the report of the modification of the date for the Continental meeting by foutje, which circuit does not say attic have sent mid- December, at the correct persons our club ended up, is.

Circuit attic has had forgive unfortunately our date of 8 June to a another event, as a result of which our Continental meeting have been moved by them a week to 15 June 2007.

This has of course very large impact.

Meanwhile it has been spoken there with of of the falcon and also prove to be we on the new date get help. And although the usual festival/refectory on this date has been already occupied by a bride couple, of of the falcon has offered turn off a part of the large refectory for our gezelschap. Therefore also that problem seems has been solved.

Now only still the question if all those people who already have registered also in the occasion to be their put matter to. The organisation will approach all tenderers with this question and we hope that everyone will be still able and put an other one. Also all foreign clubs will be again summoned to inform them concerning modification of the date.

As soon as there is further news you can take place that on these.

On behalf of the governing board and the events commission

My discounted non-refundable ferry ticket is looking like a waste of money.

The new dates are Le Mans weekend.

Just spoken with P&O who say it would be a £10 admin fee to change the Hull crossings to the following week; or if people now have to cancel, 15% ticket price charge off the ferry and cabin price (meals totally refunable) if done 8 weeks in advance.

Edit to add: We need to know asap as the 13th June ferries from Hull will be busy with people going to Le Mans. There are 13 cars to my knowledge on these crossings.

I e-mailed Alison first thing this morning but I have no further details at the moment.

A note on Roy's translation - Zolder is the Dutch word for attic! Makes it a bit easier to understand but not totally.

Just called TVRCC. They still have no official communicae from the NL boys. I have asked TVRCC to hold my cheque until there is official news.

At the moment I def. can't make 15/16/17 June & it clashes with Le Mans, so chances of getting a ferry around that time a slim at best.

Totally spewing mad

Hello TVR-enthusiasts.
The computer translation of the original message by the Dutch TVR club was a bit confusing so we translated it for you.
Hope you can all make it .

News
Important announcement related to the 2007 Continental Meeting

There has been a serious misunderstanding related to the date of the continental meeting. The Zolder Circuit sent its information related to date changes to the wrong person.

The original date of June 8 had to be assigned to another event, which moved our Continental Meeting to 15 juni 2007.

This of course has quite some consequences. We have already contacted Van der Valk motel in Heerlen and they can receive us on that date. Function rooms were occupied but Van der Valk are willing to provide part of their big dining room for us.

We hope everyone already subscribed will be able to adapt their arrangements. We will notify everyone and will also contact TVR clubs abroad to inform them on the new date.

The board and Events Committee will keep you posted.

It would be helpful if we can get confirmation of the changes to minimise the financial consequences of the change of dates to Le Mans weekend. When this is finalised, it may be possible for some of us to rearrange ferry bookings with the minimum losses. Apparently, with some of the ferry companies, "not-refundable" can be, in some cases re-arrangeable or partly-refundable (for a fee). Check with the ferry operator (or small print) before you write off your fare.

Sadly, it looks like some people (particularly those going to Le Mans) may lose money.

Adrenaline Days...

That's what seems to be on the planning of Zolder on the 9-10th. Guess they paid more money...
