This morning I received my brochure in the post from Alison, other entrants should have them about now - contact me if you don't get it.

You will notice that UK entrants don't have addresses, this is because of the Club's interpretation of the Data Protection Law and is also why the brochures have come to you via Alison and not directly from Arthur.

Read the bits about the track day carefully - especially about noise.

and DON'T FORGET YOUR HELMET if you want to go on the track.

Drive carefully and don't forget that continental driving laws are different to those in the UK so check the rules of the countries you will be driving through - Warning Triangles, Spare Bulbs, Drive on the RIGHT etc.

Go carefully and see you in the bar on Thursday.

Russ,
Please tell me it's no any more stringent than last year.

Sure don't hope so. I got off with a warning last year, have to keep away from the wall at the measuring points. I'm bringing the trackday silencers just in case (anybody bringing a drill?)

Only 1 . I was black flagged 3 times last year (once not me driving) so will have to resort to the tail pipe insert again .....just doesn't sound right though

What's wrong with the car, Pete? Real shame you can't make it.

95db. Same as last year Donald should be okay for a few parade laps then.

Not long to go and the weather forcast seems reasonable.

Yes, around 20 degrees with some sunshine, perfect for the circuit. Took the Griff out this morning for a final systems check, all systems go. Can't wait. Everyone have a good journey!

The engine is in bits having the compression ratio dropped, it's having a general freshen up while it's apart. Amazingly (given 100k hard miles on this engine including considerable abuse in the last 5k) the bores and pistons look fine, the crank was starting to go but should be fine after a regrind. Shame because I was looking forward to seeing what difference the extra power made against those 400 bhp monsters that beat me up last year.
