TVR Zolder Continental Meeting 2020
Discussion
Buoyed by the success of the recent Cadwell Park trackday this year, a few of us from TVRCC NL and TVRCC GB want to resurrect the TVR Continental Meeting at Zolder for 2020.
This is usually a Friday TVR only track day at the Zolder circuit in Belgium (there’s the option of a day trip to Maastrict for uninterested nontrackdayers) followed by a light heart awards evening meal in a decent hotel in Holland. On the Saturday there is the option of a Treasure Hunt/Orientation for people who want to stay in the local area; or there are the delights of Amsterdam, Brussels or Dusseldorf if you want to make a City break weekender of it. If you are a total petrol head; Spa, the Nurburgring, and the Michael Schumacher Karting Centre are an hour or so away.
Zolder is about 170 miles from Calais and 110 miles from Zeebrugge/Rotterdam. We’re looking at doing it in May or June 2020. We could do with a provisional show of numbers, so please add your name here if you think you might be interested?
The drive-by noise is increased from 95db to 98db. And the TVRCC NL are intending to use the Van Der Valk motel at Heerlen. Booking details to follow.

Fabulous idea.
I’d be that interested I might even motivate myself to build my car up.
Zolder has a special place in the heart of most racing type folk, a great old school track and a memory for life if you’re lucky enough to drive round there.
Well worth paying someone who’s good with camera’s Joolz
To go and take action shots of everyone round that place,,,,, mega memories,,,

The rumour is true that a group of members of the TVR Car Club Holland, consisting of members of the original organising committee, is INVESTIGATING the possibilities to resurrect THE Continental Meeting at the Zolder circuit in Belgium, like we did for 37 years in the past. BUT due to an increase of the costs of the circuit and the aim to keep the price for a full program approximately € 275,- we NEED to be sure to have 80 participants in total at least. So mobilise your friends and others in- and outside the UK to support us in this one. Further news of how to subscribe will follow.

The limit was 95db last time I went John; I was black flagged in the Aston and was not amused.
Neither was the noise marshall when I told him I was black/green colour blind, hence my carrying on for a further three laps before I came in
Yes I know they’re very strict, on the one occasion I attended i was black flagged in the afternoon and there was no appeal.Neither was the noise marshall when I told him I was black/green colour blind, hence my carrying on for a further three laps before I came in
It’s a shame because it was one of the most enjoyable events I’ve ever attended.
I wonder do they do any noisy(er) days?
