OT: movers from Germany to the US

Does anyone have any experiences with any movers for a move from Germany to the US? Any advice appreciated - it's for moving the contents of a 2 bedroom apartment (so probably less than a 20 ft container) from the the greater Frankfurt area to northern New York state.

Just had friends from our little village move back to the US. Container loads seem to be the only way. They used a small local firm, so it shoudn't be difficult from the FFM area. Note: they had to list EVERYTHING for the US customs...which was a vast pain with 3 kids, 2 parents and a dog and cat!!!!
