Stopover 1/2 way to Suhl

We're all booked up for the Corvette show in June in Suhl, but want to break up the journey both there & back & are looking for a suitable location about 1/2 way between Calais & Suhl.

Nice hotel with parking, scenic, good restaurants.

I know it's a long way off but we like to book well in advance, any help greatfully received.
