New boy to the area who's starting a new job in Dusseldorf next week. Can anyone suggest any places to look for apartments online? I've tried www.e-rent.de and www.mwz24.de but neither of them seem to give me what I'm after. Are there any other websites that you could recommend?

Many thanks.

Nothing I can recommend,
just some sites that popped up on the relevant search :
http://www.central-apartment.com/en/central-apartm...
http://www.apartments24-duesseldorf.de/?gclid=CJPX...
http://www.duesseldorf.e-rent.de/en/dusseldorf-acc...
http://www.immonet.de/nordrhein-westfalen/duesseld... (german only)
http://www.immobilienscout24.de/de/finden/wohnen/l... (german only)
http://www.base-apartments.de/w45.html?gclid=CKuOn... (german only)
http://duesseldorf.homecompany.de/index.php?sp=en

HTH, and wishing you a good time in Germany,
Benni

P.S.: Get used to "Altbier", Düsseldorf´s local brewing specialty,
served in the "Altstadt" (Old Town Centre) aka "germany´s longest bar".....beer

Thanks for the heads up. I found an apartment through the company I'm working for. 24 hours after moving in and I'm moving out already. If I had a dog, and that dog had flees, I wouldn't recommend this apartment for the flees! Not a good introduction to Dusseldorf. frown

I'll go through the list you posted up and try to find something that fits what I'm after.

home company would be the main one for short-ish term furnished apartments

or kalaydo, which has the online ads from the rheinische post
