I just saw a red flash from a flyover while "making progress on the A7, what sort of punishment should I be expecting and generally how quick are they at processing tickets?

Cheers

It was 2 red flashes, about 15 cm in diameter, 2 metres apart. It wasnt a bright flash like a fixed camera (there are no fixed cameras on that section anyway), more of a dull led style light.

I suppose all i can do is wait and see now, 30-40 kph over hopefully isnt ban territory

I've just looked up the new catalogue of fines. After 1. May it'd be as follows
20-25kph over limit €70,- plus 1 (new) point
26-30kph €80 + 1 pt
31-40kph €120 + 1 pt
41-50kph €160,- + 2 pts + 1 month ban

So you may fall under the old system which is "cheaper"!

Good luck

As far as the region is concerned Bayern does it fast (usually within 3 weeks)
If on a GB plate it won't arrive, a D plate however should be within a month

Hi there,

We have Swiss-registered cars, and from time to time, we get tickets from Germany as they have agreements with some states around them.....mostly for us 10 Euros, but I think of the cost to handle those silly papers;-)

Switzerland is VERY expensive btw.

Is it still the case that Luxembourg will not divulge driver details to any EU country? Only asking after a recent conversation.

Going by that chart i should be ok then, €120 fine, i was just worried i'd get a ban, which would get in the way of going back to the UK in may to pick up my new car.

If you do get a ban here, can you still pick when you serve it?
