Austria - Winter Tyre Tread Depth

Hi Guys, Can anyone shed come light on this for me please? I'm trying to find out the minimum tread depth for winter tyres in Austria during the winter? On the AA website they state the following.

"Between the 1st November and the 15th April vehicles must be fitted with winter tyres (which must be marked M&S on the side walls and have a minimum tread depth of 4mm) or all-season tyres which must be marked M&S (mud and snow)"

So do all season tyres require 4mm of tread aswell? I am thinking yes they do but I want to be sure before I spend money on new tyres for the winter.

YES, 4mm minimum tread also for M&S tyres required!
