Search for Immobilien then look for Mieten, lots of the buggers.

Always try to rent privately or find ads that say "provision frei", otherwise you have to basically give the agent 2 months rent just for the privilege of signing the rental agreement.

Which part of Germany are you moving to? I know of two Agents who rent properties - one in Adenau near the Nürburgring and the other in Traben-Trarbach on the Mosel.
