Chaps,

It's been many months that I mean to post this. Since well over a year, there have been UK plated M3s of different flavours parked very near my flat.

There was an E36 M3 in purple (with PH sticker) for maybe 1 year, for a few months last yearh there was an E46 M3 and now theres a M3 CSL in metallic grey.

I can only assume they belong to the same person, if you happen to read this then please make yourself known to me as I live in the next street smile

(Also, you might want to err.. ahem.. check your tax disc wink)

(As a semi-related aside, there is an E30 M3 always parked on the street in the same area of Frankfurt. It's bright red and looks to be in mint condition. Goodness knows why it's not kept somewhere safer but I'm glad as I get to drool at it every day)

and one in Munich....

Regarding keeping very nice cars on the street, someone keeps a BMW 507 parked on the street for 6 months of the year around the corner from where I live. I also often see a 1950's MB 300SL Gullwing parked on the street in central Munich. Unbelievable!

Regarding the M3 bloke, maybe you should leave a note on the car?

A Bavarian I know told me last year he met an old bloke who has owned a 507 since new (present from his dad back in the day) and to date it's been his only (!) car. It's still a daily driver. Must be the same guy.

Here in Frankfurt you see everything, but the most random one (I find) is the Mercedes 190 EVO2 which is very often parked sideways on the kerb on the Kennedyallee.

The 190 belongs to my dentist, and he owns it since new yes

Seeing that there is a bunch of Frankfurters, why not have a pint or Schobbe for the 2nd Frankfurt PH meet in history?

He probably hasn't sold it on, because he couldn't afford the depreciation hit.

I once saw a newish bright red Lambo parked up in the street in Munich.

The speedo went round to 340 kmh.

Proper kit and which other city in the world could you leave
it overnight unmolested ?

Munich is amazing in this respect. There is a lot of money in Munich and people do like to pose, which is not unique to Munich, but the fact that these very expensive cars are left on the street overnight on a near daily bases never fails to amaze me.

2 in Munich. smile

Car spotting is my second favorite cafe activity in Munich wink Around my flat there is a R8, a mint 912 targa and several SL's

@ - Munich. Sorry to sound like a stalker, but i was looking at your garage and spotted that its made up of a few mtbs. There are a few brits who have a evening ride a couple of times a week starting from GiselaStr for about 25km on the trails around the Isar. If you fancy coming out drop me a pm.

I'm not a Frankfurter, but I'm only in Mainz and wouldn't mind meeting up with some fellow PHers (as long as you have nothing against Rheinland Pfalz).

Daniel, as long as you're not from Offenbach, it should be ok wink

Gents, I've dropped a PM to both of you to fix date/place. Anyone else who like to join - just send me a PM.

Invited or not, I still recommend the "technische Sammlung Hochhut" in Gallus (near Messe),

there are some Gaststätten around although they are not too posh (and probably have never served a Jägerbomb).

Thanks for organising this - unfortunately I (and Miss Leo) will have to give it a miss as we are on a serious money diet having just bought a motorhome smile

In a couple of months we'll arrange something again.

btw I'm still curious about this lovely M3 CSL, I still see it every morning on the way to work! Plate is, I think F-BM 360? Must be a PH'er, or ex.
