Living in Ramstein right now ready to enjoy the winter with my 06 GTO & 94 XJ40. Hope to find some fellow petrol heads and cruise in the spring.

Hi John,

welcome to PH, and Germany.
If you want to try a little quartermile activity in spring,
the ex-US Air Base of Bitburg is the place to go.
You might bump into some american (service and civilian) and german DragHeads,
and hear me on the PA announcing.

Bitburg......how interesting as this is not very far from me. I must look into this next year and come down to the one of the events. Could be good fun.

If you go to Bitburg I´m normally inside the trailer at the start doing the announcements.
dates for next year have been asked for by 1on1-motorsports.de ,
but -as usual- won´t be confirmed by the airport until march.

Yes, last year. Was emea marketing manager for a us global company with european manufacturing hq here. Before that Spain, Italy, US. Liked the healthcare and education for the "kids", decided to stay and I got a great payoff. It's a bit conservative like the US, but learn the language, however badly and you'll make friends. Integrate or die if you don't live in an area with lots of brits/americans! Don't expect them to understand uk humour though. Expect lots of handshakes and standing up at parties. Our neighbours are a boozy lot smile "Saufen" is the word. Currently in Austria for Xmas with friends. Oh and everyone in the town remembers the TVR but keep calling it a Triumph as they have never heard of TVR. If you end up near PB then get in touch.
