Would appreciate an update on current price & if poss an early Sun am open station with easy access from the tunnel - I`m heading south on A16.
Thanks!

Almost the same as UK at about EUR 1.45-1.55 I think - at the tunnel there's immediately one station then about fifty miles south

Off the motorway it may not be so easy as they still don't always take UK credit cards at the unmanned places

Just fill it up in UK it will save you mucking about after you get off the tunnel for all the differnce of one tank of fuel!

+1 The difference will be +/- £1-2

But to answer your question, down in the South (where I live) it's ~1.50EUR

Thanks a lot for the info. For the record I`ve just filled up a near empty tank & it`s a new record - £76.80 .......... I`ve almost stopped looking at the price but it was £1.37 a litre.
Unfortunately, I do remember the days when French fuel was well below our UK prices. I`m surprised the French farmers & truckers haven`t rioted yet.

Diesel is around 1.35-1.40 a litre. Went to Andorra shopping today 1.13,which isn't too bad.

Is it still no receipts and cash only?

Was when I was last in Pas de la Casa.

Well made it there & back with no problems ( in France ) & found supermarkets a little under UK price. Most expensive seen was €1.69 for *95 on Autoroute, about £1.49.
Fantastic weather & not a moment`s hold up, until, of course, we met the Dartford crossing at teatime. I think 5.5 miles of queues Northbound.

Useful - thanks for the heads-up, but quite depressing to think of the cost of my journey.

Will have to go easy on the loud pedal and see if I can get across from Dover and in to Switzerland on one tank (great BP station beside the Customs post in Vallorbe - useful if anyone is heading to the Alps/Italy, and handy to brim on your return)
