Accommodation recommendations in the Loire?

Going to a wedding in June - we are going to extend our stay and explore the Loire for a week.

Does anyone out there have any budget accommodation recommendations in the region?

This is a nice gite close to us but 30 mins for the Loire it is on the other Loir river.
When in June 1st week is peak due to Le Mans 24 hours =380 euro, later 320 euro for the gite. You don't say how many people but the gites sleep 4/10

This one is just north of Loire border, but makes a great base. If your family is all staying then it’s cost effective to take a large party. If it’s just you then it’s massive overkill.

There’s a hill climb event held annually from the end of the road. There are good driving roads and it makes a great base for car clubs on tour. The A.M.O.C. use it.

I’d thoroughly recommend it. The owners are handsome, witty and charming, but I may be exceedingly biased.
