After 2 years doing the 9-5 grind in the UK I've decided to go back to working on sailing yachts full time. My girlfriend's dad has agreed to look after my MX5 but I need to work out a plan for the NSX.

From May I'll be running a 72 ft Oyster with 3 crew probably based in Antibes. I'm hoping there is some sort of classic car storage place near there, where I can safely leave the car whist away working, but can return to it for drives at the weekend as the roads in the hills are awesome.

I have some french, but I'm not fluent, and google isn't coming up trumps. Any ideas?

Hi, using google.fr works better I put in storage cars (in french of course) and this popped up http://www.squarefootselfstorage.com/index.html
Looks like you are not the only one doing this.
I would look after it for you but Le Mans is a long way north.

I did find this one. Unfortunately Square Foot have a warehouse in Nice with and awkward layout. It means I would be required to make arrangements ahead of time, everytime I wanted to enter or leave the facility. Not ideal.

Thanks for the link though. smile

Some thing like this?
http://immobilier-parking.vivastreet.fr/garage+nic...
Bit small I think but there are more announcements on that site could be a year contract though.
Put yourself at the mercy of an estate agent I'm sure someone would find you a place.

Just seen this,

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2615915.htm

Might be a bit pricey at £200 a month, but it looks exactly what you are looking for. If you want cheap (Free) I have seen loads of dust covered cars parked up in the main Marina car park in Cannes, where the ticket barrier has been faulty for at least 2 years & lets you out for free !

Saw this in port the other day and liked it a lot, so I took a photo, read this thread a bit later and put two and two together!

You're right that's me! The yacht I run is 'Holo Kai' - she was the Oyster 72 sailing yacht parked next to the Capo Horn cafe on the dock, until yesterday evening (we're now in Tuscany)

I now have a nice secure underground parking space. smile

We waited until the wind had deposited most of the beach on the boat, and then left sat evening once it had calmed down!

Some of the things on that beach I wouldn't mind being blown on to the boat! Just not the sand and salt spray.
