Classic French Car dealers in France?
Discussion
The UK's Classic & Sportscar mag is a good place to start your hunt, as it carries ad's from many European dealers and also has a sister title (by the same name) published in France; there are also several Citroen only magazines in France. Sadly I have no plans to travel to France in the near future, so will not be able to stock up on car mags; my latest issue of UK CSC has been loaned out at present - will PM you if there are any "Goddesses" advertised.
A couple of years ago I came across a dealer between Angers & Tours just north of the Loire that specialised in fifties/sixties/seventies cars, and was a real find - a true Aladdin's Cave. I have just found a a couple of pictures - dealer is called Auto Passion 49, a quick Google shows their website to be http://www.novaweb.fr/autopassion49/ No DS's at present but it could be worth adding to your Favourites. Cars were very well prepared, but the prices seemed a tad steep (but I am not an expert on classic values). For any tyre-kickers/window shoppers out there, I wandered around the forecourt and showroom without being harassed by anybody, let alone a salesman!
ETA There is one DS listed, interesting to note that the Jag X300 appears in one of my photos...dated 30/09/2008!!

Thanks for that. I'll add it to my favorites.
They do have one in stock. But I'd like to spend a bit of time looking, and getting a good idea for what's worth what. I'm not ready to buy just yet, so time for some reasearch.
I found a couple of specialists in U.K. but France is actualy closer to me, as I'm in Spain.
At least I have a good idea what to look for if I do decide to view any.
I cut my teeth on the DS from the age of 12! My Dad was a good mechanic, and would sit in a chair and tell me what to do while he watched.
It was the first car I had the cylinder head off, decoked everything, ground the valves, and put everything back together.
I hated working on the brakes. Fronts are inboard discs, and I remember loads of self tapping screws holding the under tray, and brake cooling ducts together.
Also adjusting the handbrake was a pain, with seperate calipers on the front discs. I seem to remember having to take off the front wing.
U.K. cars suffered from rot, a lot of the LHD ones I see, seem to fare better.
Happy days.
Thanks again for the link.

Hi Mickrick,
Try looking through www.leboncoin.fr as the French use this to buy and sell everything! There are pages of Citroen DS cars from hundreds to many thousands of euros... simply change the search to 'all of France' and Bob's your uncle.
Good luck.
