I'm just about to get some French bills from a local builder (in St Privat) and need to move £5k from the UK to France. I have a Bank Account in both countries.

I usually do a bank wire transfer but I bothered to check the exchange rate onthe last go and it's not brilliant.

Anyone got any better methods ??

Yes. I use a company called PureFX for this very purpose. They were recommended to me by a PHer and I've been very happy with them. Much much better rates than high street banks. Link:

Yes it is, sorry - a bit quick off the mark there. Speak to Michelle Fox, that's who I normally deal with.

Similarly I can recommend www.voltrexfx.com where you can do everything online. Great service. Ask for John Georgiou. smile

Whoever you use just make sure they are fully FSA regulated, otherwise there is a risk involved.
