General Strike 7th Sept?

Does anyone know if this is going ahead?

Just that I'm supposed to be landing in Toulouse mid-afternoon on the 7th, though don't want to waste all day hanging around LHR if there are no flights.

Very little information web-wise, was hoping someone here may be more enlightened.

Don't know about a general but the bloody teachers are off on the 7th.The kids only went back to school yesterday

I'd be pretty narked too if the government had just taken away my year's training on a whim, and expected me to just start teaching straight out of uni....

It seems pretty widespread including Airbus in Toulouse.

It is just unreasonable to expect anyone to work until the age of 62.

Hmmm. Seems pretty pointless even attempting it now, as the aforementioned is where I'm supposed to be working.

Suppose I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
