Moving to Paris...
Discussion
...well kind of. Just waiting on the i's to be dotted and the t's to be crossed and it looks like I'll be heading to Paris for 3 - 4 days per week for the next 6 months and potentially a lot longer.
If things go to plan I'll be there 2 - 3 nights per week, initially (and probably permanently) staying in hotels.
This is after swearing to never work for a French company again, and never to return to Paris!
I'll be working on Boulevard Ney. Immediate thoughts / help required from follow PHer's:
- recommended nearby hotels. Preferably sensibly priced, ideally within walking distance and with free wi-fi and a gym. My French is atrocious, so English speaking too.
- if no free wi-fi, what is the best way to get mobile data (will potentially need it a lot as still working for a different UK based client on a part time basis). Is there a T-Mobile web and walk equivalent, although getting a contract phone with no permanent french address might be tricky?
- any regular UK - Paris commuters? Do you normally fly or use the tunnel?
