Speed camera alerts - are they legal?
Discussion
I know it used to be that GPS speed camera alerts were illegal in France, but now nearly every sat nav system has them preloaded anyway. Have they changed the law for Sat Nav based systems?
If not is it actually enforced for SatNav's?
I find it difficult to imagine them going through the software at the roadside to find out.

There is a section on this website about what is and what is not allowed. As well as other sensible advice to visitors.

Perfect, that answers it thanks. There is a section on this website about what is and what is not allowed. As well as other sensible advice to visitors.
I know when sat nav based systems first came out about back in 2000 or 2001 I think, people were getting fined and had them confiscated on the way to Le Mans that year. Looks like they now apply a more sensible 'interpretation'.
