Doing some simple market research for a friend in business. Does anyone know the urls of the French equivalents of Maplins. He's got a product that might have some international potential. Thanks

Not so many chains in France, but Darty is a good start.

Most electronic appliances are sold through the big supermarkets - so you'd be looking at E.Leclerc, Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Champion, Intermarché, and Monoprix.

Depending on what the device is, FNAC and Virgin Megastore also sell alot of electronic stuff.

Hope that helps!

The closest equivalent to Maplins would be Conrad. www.conrad.fr

Ones given above dont have the same product ranges or scope.

Indeed. There is a smaller version of Conrad called Selectronic.fr as well with a shop in lille and Nation, Paris.
