Perpignan area

Going on the annual holiday to Ceret, nr Perpignan in July.

Just wondering if there's anywhere that i should visit?

Always go over to Collioure, and also to Argeles-sur-mer, and also to Roses in Spain (25 mins away).

Anywhere else well worth a visit?

We stay at the wife's parents place which is in Mauriellas, between Ceret and Le Boulou, nr Perpignan.

If you're spending some time there, then heading 40mins north to Carcassone would be worth a visit. A lovely walled citadel, with some fantastic restaurants. Lovely place to be on a sunny evening, something about the stone makes the whole place look like it's glowing. Shouldn't be too busy this time of year either.
