205 Gti Brakes Help!!!!
Discussion
Hiya,
Once again I am trying another major piece of work on my 205 1.9 Gti. (1989)
Yesterday I replaced the front disks and pads. Today I have replaced the rear pads (not the disks as they were fine).
Problem:
I have bled the system (Dot 4 fluid), The front right and front left were easy, as was the rear left (sitting drivers seat. However, no fluid is coming out of the rear right!!!! I have removed the nipple, and not a drop is coming through. The peddle remains hard when pushed. The disk spins with the handbrake up, and when the foot brake is depressed!! Basically, it looks seized, I had no problem screwing the piston back in.
I have heard there is a compensator that can block, although this does not seem to be present on my car!!
Any advice welcome!!!
Thanks as always guys...
Rachel

I can help you a little but you need someone who knows the car or can at least look round it to track down the final fault.
If with the bleed nipple open no fluid is coming out and the pedal is hard this means that no fluid can get to that corner, this obviously means the brake won't work on that wheel.
The reason for this could be many things from a dicky master cylinder, damaged/interfered with piping or as you say a dodgy valve in the system.
What you need to do is get under the car and follow that brake line from the wheel to the master cylinder noting what lies in it's path. If it goes through a bias valve that could be the problem, note if the pipe has been squashed anywhere along it's route (unlikely) and up to the master cylinder. Some masters have one or 2 lines coming out that feed all 4 or 2 brakes each, if yours is like this it won't be the master cylinder as you would have lost 2/4 brakes. If however it has seperate lines for all 4 brakes (or an ABS block doing the same) then that may be your issue, undo the brake pipe from here and press the pedal and see if fluid comes out (loosening it may be enough).
If you get fluid there then keep working back to the wheel loosening unions till you get to the point fluid stops coming out. Go back a step and there lies your fault.
For the record my suspicion would lie with your rear flexi hose having flapped over inside.
