Just bought a holiday home in Limousin, and having asked around this seems to be the biggest car event in the area.

I have found a few links, but has anyone been, and if so any advice on the set up ?

Its the basic stuff, best viewing / parking / is it ticketed etc ?

Any advice welcome.

Rally on the Saturday
Racing on the Sunday
Make sure you buy a paddock pass as well as the circuit viewing pass.

I'll be there both days and have entered for the rally.

There is not enough grandstand seating for the event. While most photographers tend to be at the hairpins, I think that the best place to watch is just opposite the pits entry/exit at the flick left after the start / finish straight.

Whilst Lowdrag thinks that the racing is too gentlemanly, I still think that the 60s / 70s Sports race is very exciting, given the limitations of the circuit.

In summary, I would say Sunday is a great day out for a car enthusiast and it costs next to nothing.

That's great stuff, many thanks.

Are the Paddock tickets available on the day or do you have to pre-book? Can't see anything on the web site.

You can just buy them on the day. It really is a very relaxed event!

Bump ..... didnt manage this in 2008, but making up for it with 6 of us heading over in 2009.

I know the Rally is on Saturday 19th Sept, does anyone know if there is a tour. A neighbour (in Cussac, Limousin) told me he thought the route went through Cussac, but I cant see it on the web site and wanted to check if this was accurate and what the timing was. I am not sure but suspect it may have been a different event he saw.

We fly in on Sat, so if true it may be easy to watch the tour go by than trying to make it to the main event. Then head over for the racing on Sunday.

Can any regulars advise?
