Quickie for you, can you get plates made up at garages in France, to replace damaged, like in the UK or is it more "formal" like in Germany where you have to go to the registration office??

You can get them from ebay and also from shoe repairers and the like in commercial centres so I guess it is not as formal as you would think from the French.

although like the K you do need your registrtion documents if you're going to one of the high street places (Feu Vert, Roadie etc etc)

Gobsmacked!

New plate sorted, 10 mins incl fitting, then old guy came out went round with his touch-up pencil for the stone chips 25/30 mins (free of charge on bill) .........total cost E12.75!!!!!!

Gave them a E50 bill and told them to keep the change, France don't you just love it!!!!
