Iphones in France

Hi Guys

I'm spending more and more time in france and wanted to get an Iphone to use with France Telecome sim.

Just wanted to know if anyone knew is FT is still selling them as the new 3G version is about to be released. If they are do you have to take the contract out there and then or can you sign up with I-tunes like at home like in Britain?

I'm in France tomorrow but don't want to take a detour through calais unless I will be able to get one?
