Jobs in the SW for a non-French speaker

Hi all,
I'm toying with the idea of heading off to the Dorgogne/Limousin region later in the year to live there for around a 12 months, possibly more.
A bit of background is that I'm currently a few months off finishing a Chartered Accountancy qualification and have about 3-4 years of accounts/audit experience, I also have a degree in Computer Science but have never worked in the field.
I have a girlfriend who is from the SW of France and in September will be living in the SW region (currently working in Paris), so I would like to move in with her. We have been together for about 5 and a half years and I know the Dordogne area pretty well now. She is an English teacher over there, and we've always both wanted to live in SW France - so at some point in the future, me moving over there would be inevitable.
The only issues are that:
a) my French is very sketchy to say the least and I've never spent much time learning it properly, and;
b) I'm not sure what sorts of jobs in the Accountancy field I'd be able to do in the area anyway - particularly with point a) in mind.
My aim would really be to spend around a year over there and learn French, then possibly return to the UK for a brief period of time and try and make some money in London before heading back permanently.
Ideally I would take on an accountancy based job, but are there any other jobs over there which I might be able to do as an (originally) English only speaker? The closest towns to her are likely to be Perigueux (popn 30k) and Limoges (popn 200k).
